Vegas Over/Under: 28.5
The Record Projection: 28-54 of fromal The Bet: lean although Prevent under
It’s the 1 place for the Sacramento Kings if any over/under mark looks right on the money. But we’ll still lean ever so slightly toward the below, largely for reasons clarified by ESPN.com’s Kevin Pelton since he forecasted the Western Convention bottom-feeders to win just 27.4 games:
«Despite adding veterans Vince Carter, George Hill and Zach Randolph as free agents, the Kings are projected as the league’s second-worst offensive attack by RPM. Even though this isn’t a part of this projection, few teams are going to have more incentive to boost their draft pick, as Sacramento won’t have its first-rounder in 2019 due to commerce.»
That incentive to tank is large, and it may not even be as impactful as the potential loss of Randolph. Explaining a scenario that could soon apply to the veteran power forward, Ronald Tillery wrote for The Commerical Appeal:»The team’s collective bargaining agreement with the players’ association says a participant is going to be dismissed and disqualified from the NBA if he is convicted of, or pleads guilty, no contest or nolo contendere to, a crime involving the prosecution supply of marijuana»
Moments would be push on by losing Randolph on the Kings’ ever-expanding collection of young, inexperienced players. And that is the subject of this roster, as management has done a praiseworthy job of building up their coffers following the passing of DeMarcus Cousins.
That strategy won’t turn into many wins yet.
